On your computer
Takeoff Pal is a desktop app. Your jobs, plans, prices and settings are saved on your computer. Takeoff Pal itself has no analytics, tracking or crash uploads.
Sent to OpenAI when you use chat
You sign in with your own ChatGPT account. When chat reads your plans, Takeoff Pal sends OpenAI the plan page images, the text in your PDFs, the job brief and your chat messages. Chat can also search the web while it works. OpenAI handles that data under your ChatGPT account and OpenAI's privacy policy.
Reports and feedback
Report saves a file on your computer and sends nothing. Send feedback also saves that file, and in newer versions its Send to Takeoff Pal button sends it to Takeoff Pal’s private inbox, which only Takeoff Pal can read. A report can hold a screenshot of the app, your note, the recent app log and what you changed on the job. A report that looks like it holds a password, sign-in token or card number is refused whole and stays only on your computer.
Subscriptions
When paid plans start, our payment provider runs checkout and your account. It receives your email, billing address and payment details, and we never see your full card or bank account number. This section will name the provider, and say what it sees, before paid plans start.
This website and downloads
Vercel hosts this site, and GitHub serves the downloads. Like any web host, they see standard request details such as your IP address and browser.
Changes
This notice will be reviewed by a lawyer and updated before paid plans start.
